All that glitters!

Good morning from a very cold and dreary Yorkshire, I hope the weather is better where you are! I know I don't like this cold wet weather but there is an upside, it makes me want to craft more. So the fire is on, I have printed pages from the fabulous Colour Therapy Inspiring Foliage, and I have my pens and pencils so all is good!

Anyhoo today I am here with my make for some mid challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge which started last week is " Add sparkle, bling or glitter" and here is my make:

I have used the Serenity Fairy Wishes collection to make this card. You can buy the image Serenity Resting on her own HERE if you would just like that. The fabulous Toadstool border has been cut using my cameo and the cutting file can be found HERE, isn't it just perfect for this image!!!!! For the challenge I have added superfine glitter to her wings which you can see better in the close up image.
The sentiment is from a Tatty Twinkles stamp set and the die is from Tattered Lace.
Now pop over to the blog to see me teamies makes, you are going to love them!

Fave colour combo

Good morning everyone, did those of you in the UK remember to put your clocks back an hour this weekend? And if so did you actually get an extra hour of sleep? I didn't as no one told my 19 1/2 year old cat that we were having an extra hour of kip, bless her lol

Anyway the reason I am here today of course is because it's Choosday, yay it's massive discount day over at Digi Choosday so don't forget to get over there and grab this weeks code!

And of course we have a new challenge for you, and this week we want to see your favourite colour combos. You can use 2, 3 or more colours as long as you use more than one colour tone.
Here is my make for this week.

Everyone who knows me knows this bright blue is my fave colour of all time and that I also love purple. This past 3 or 4 years my hair has been both of these colours a few times!
The image, papers, embellies and the sentiment are all from the fabulous Octavia Frosted Winter download collection. If you prefer this on CD you can buy that HERE. And you can buy the image on it's own HERE.

Christmas colours

Good morning, I'm here again with a make for the Graph'It Colouring Challenge blog. The challenge is to use Christmas colours from this palette

Well I love red and blue so this wasn't hard for me! The cute image is from Oddball Art and is called Sherry Rescues a Puppy. I coloured the image and then coloured a background which was a total fail so I fussy cut the images out to add to a new background! The background was supposed to be glittery to fit in with the Christmas colours but my shake it pen ran out halfway through and there is nothing else like it so I could rescue it. So I used a stencil to emboss a brick wall and then coloured it in.

The Graph'It Markers I have used are:
Skin: 4105, 4125, 4150, 3120
Reds: 5210, 5222, 5240, 5270
Blues: 7122, 7125, 7130
Dog: 9100, 9101, 9102
Wall: 3210, 3230, 9401, 9402, 9403

Graph'It Markers

Good morning everyone. Today I'm here with a make for the Graph'It Markers challenge blog.
This week we are being sponsored by the fabulous Little Miss Muffet Stamps and the image I am using is Cracker Chester. The challenge this week is to use Christmas colours and the team have the added challenge of making something for the image to sit or stand on. Now I got totally carried away with my colouring and forgot all about the colour chart, oooops! But I was kinda pleased with how my image turned out so after a sit on the norty step I was allowed to use it, phew! So here it is.
The colours I used on this image are:
Chester: 3120, 3140, 3160, mix it fluid.
Cracker: 7140, 7150, 7160, 7115, 7110, 7109
I used the mix it fluid on some velvet to give Chester some texture.

This was the Palette I was supposed to use.
So I kinda did use the colours, I just added blue lol.

Brrrrrr it's cold!

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone! This week over at the Digi Choosday blog our new challenge is "Feeling Cold" so we want to see creations that have ice or snow on them, or are related to being cold. Here is my make for this week.
Everything I have used on this card can be found on the Octavia Frosted Winter collection. You can also buy this as a CD should you prefer HERE. Or as separates HERE. I made a shaped card out of the door embellishment and then cut out and added all the other bits and bobs. I have layered lots of them up to make it as 3D as possible. You can't see from the photo but I also printed everything onto linen card so it has more texture.
Now don't forget as it is Digi Chooday that mean it's discount day at Polkadoodles. So get over to the blog and find out todays discount code which will give you a massive discount off of digital downloads.

Fave card shape

Good morning blogland, are you all looking forward to your weekend? They soon come around don't they, it won't be long until the big man in the red suits is here, oh heck, better get a move on with stuff!
So I'm here today with some mid challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles blog, the challenge which started last week is to use a favourite card shape and here is my make.
I've used the Tattered Lace Essentials Large Decorative Rectangles to create the shaped card. When I first saw these dies I thought they were great for scrapbooking but not so much for card making, how wrong was I!!1 I use this set to make shaped cards such a lot, it was a great buy.
The image, papers, embellies and sentiment are all from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection, you can buy the image, Frosty Penguins, on it's own HERE. I have coloured the image with Lyra Rembrant pencils.
